The Academy has been teaching the art of dance and the science of movement since 2000.  Over 200 students’ ages 2 through adult attend classes in ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, pom, cheerleading, tumbling, creative movement and Zumba.   For a decade, Academy of Dance Arts has provided exciting performance opportunities for students in its productions: The Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan, Once Upon A Time, Hooray for Hollywood, Broadway Bound, Nutcracker, and Sleeping Beauty.  “Dance is my passion and I can’t imagine my life without it or not being able to share it with all of these wonderful kids!,” said Desiree LaVigne-Roan, owner and Founding Artistic Director.  “I’ve known most of these kids since they were 2, it’s been fantastic watching them grow.  I really appreciate their dedication and the incredible support we get from parents and grandparents!”  The Academy’s professional instructors and supporting faculty are very experienced. “Our instructors are exceptional role models,” said LaVigne-Roan. “the ability to understand and teach the complete child, make dance fun and encourage creativity, helps us to successfully prepare students for auditions, modeling, pageants, and try-outs for cheerleading and pom. Several of our students are regularly selected to perform in OKC Ballet’s and Lyric Theatre’s productions! ”

Dance Classes for all ages. Dance Phase offers a variety of dance classes and dance camps throughout the summer for every level and age of dancer. At Dance Phase our goal is to create an environment that is nurturing, positive and creative. We believe dance should be a pleasurable learning experience no matter what level of the student. We offer small class sizes, which ensure every student get individual attention. Dance Phase is home to 6,000 square feet of the newest state of the art equipment available. With safety in mind we chose the “Stagestep” flooring system this floating floor helps to eliminate fatigue and injury.
